Raytheon is seeking an experienced Portfolio Supply Chain Manager, to join its Advanced Fighter Systems (AFS) Program Operations & Supply Chain Team. The AFS program portfolio is aligned under the Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS) organization; one of three sub-strategic business units of the Raytheon Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) strategic business unit. As a newly re-aligned business, the mission of APS is to be a supplier of choice for a broad portfolio of cost-competitive products of radar, electro-optical / infrared and space components and systems. The Portfolio Supply Chain Manager (Portfolio SCM) will report directly to the AFS Supply Chain Management Lead. As a Portfolio Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the development and execution of supply chain strategies, material program and supplier management plans, supporting capture/proposal and design-to-cost initiatives throughout all phases of the portfolio’s product life cycle. The Portfolio SCM will also serve as the liaison between Program Management, Integrated Product Team Leaders and the Operations & Supply Chain organization. The candidate will also be responsible for advising the AFS Supply Chain Management Lead, program and functional leaders on portfolio material strategies, plans and supplier risk management activities. Therefore, the position requires a candidate who will be able to exert influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of AFS Operations & Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Project Management, and/or program management.
  • Experience in Integrated Product Team (IPT)/Cross functional teams, including leading an IPT

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Experience with Design to Cost and/or Cost Reduction Initiative activities.
  • Experience developing and analyzing program performance metrics. as well as experience proactively addressing associated program and functional issues
  • Experience with Proposal and New Business Capture.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead as well as the Program Management Office on material strategies, plans and supplier risk mitigation activities
  • Responsible for the development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives involvement and early supplier involvement that is focused on strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Develop and support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targets
  • Develop and execute material program plans (MPP)
  • Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
  • Partner cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
