About The Position

The Portfolio Spoke Coach educates and mentors organizational leaders, Agile Release Trains, and their Scrum teams to instill a scaled, successful enterprise-wide adoption of Humana Ways of working and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). This role addresses problems of diverse scope and complexity, ranging from moderate to substantial. Responsibilities include creating tools and leading training sessions to demonstrate how leaders, contractors, and associates will apply Humana Ways of Working daily. The coach guides the organization and portfolio through transitions, ensuring continued adherence to optimal working practices. They promote a culture of innovation by implementing Humana processes and principles that enhance collaboration, predictability, transparency, and velocity. The position may involve ongoing iteration management for high-profile initiatives, providing real-time enablement, mentoring, or coaching, and sharing Agile best practices across the enterprise. The coach advises executives on significant functional strategies, exercises independent judgment on complex issues, and works under minimal supervision, determining the best course of action based on variable factors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical experience or equivalent
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Active SAFe 6.0 SPC certification
  • 6+ months of experience in working as a leader in a Digital Platform portfolio or like enterprise enabler portfolio

Responsibilities

  • Educates and mentors organizational leaders, Agile Release Trains and their Scum teams to instill a scaled, successful enterprise-wide adoption of Humana Ways of working and practices including Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial
  • Creates tools and leads training sessions to demonstrate how leaders at all levels, contractors and associates will apply Humana Ways of Working in their day-to-day work
  • Guides an organization and portfolio through the transition and drives continued adherence to optimal way of working practices
  • Promotes a culture of innovation by implementing Humana processes and principles which include techniques to increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and velocity
  • May provide on-going iteration management for high profile initiatives to provide real-time enablement, mentoring or coaching as well as to gather and share Agile best practices across the enterprise
  • Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance
  • Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks
  • Works under minimal supervision
  • Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action
