Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in portfolio, program and project management.
  • Working experience with Waterfall, Agile and hybrid SDLCs or frameworks such as SAFE.
  • Proficient in creating executive level PowerPoint presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial Services or Insurance industry experience.
  • Related certifications (PfMP, PgMP, PMP, SAFE LPM, SAFE RTE).
  • Portfolio management tools such as Jira Align, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview.
  • Data Analysis skills with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker.
  • Resource management tools such as Smartsheet, Tempus, MS Planner Transformation.
  • Building AI agents.
  • Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., supporting employee resource groups, mentoring employees, volunteering, joining cross-functional projects).
  • Champions our cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.).
  • Demonstrates a company ownership mindset, thinking beyond boundaries of their own area.
  • Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.
  • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Track key health indicators of programs and projects across the enterprise portfolio.
  • Contribute to the production of portfolio dashboards and health reporting.
  • Strategic management of risks, dependencies, issues, resources, and change requests across the portfolio, as well as maintaining overall project quality and compliance with SPMO standards.
  • Helps ensure the portfolio delivers measurable value aligned with overarching benefits.
  • Analyze current and upcoming resource demand versus availability, helping to identify bottlenecks or conflicts early ensuring the right people with the right skills are assigned to the right projects at the right time.
  • Consult with programs and projects to improve delivery health.
  • Perform stage gate checks to confirm that deliverables meet the defined acceptance criteria and that project management practices are being followed consistently.
