Job Description: As the Portfolio Manager, you will be an integral part of the Bank providing clear, actionable insights and analysis of the portfolio composition, trends, structures, quality, and concerns to the Bank Leadership team. You will have oversight of collections activity, both directly and indirectly with execution in delivering delinquency results within risk tolerance and mitigating losses through thoughtful troubled debt restructures and prudent collections actions. You are: A senior level Portfolio Manager with at least 7 years’ experience managing a portfolio comprised of equipment loans and leases, short-term lines of credit and working capital structures preferably in a small business customer base profile. You have a proven history of directly communicating and interacting with Senior Leadership, disseminating complex information into actionable understanding and executing on strategies and initiatives to successful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of portfolio management with collections experience a must.
  • Proven ability to efficiently retrieve and assimilate large amounts of data, organizing the output into insightful and actionable information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interacting effectively with Senior Leaders with interactions with audit staff a plus.
  • Demonstrated independent competence in problem solving and decision making, adhering to Bank policies and procedures.
  • Prior experience in leadership of personnel
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and deliver requested information or perform activities requested from multiple channels.
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Know, understand and communicate Bank portfolio trends, concentrations, risks, stress points, mitigants and asset quality profile to Senior Leadership Team.
  • Be responsible for the development and presentation of Bank portfolio dashboards highlighting to Senior Leadership and the Bank Board of Directors the data driven insights to trends, risks, stress points, portfolio quality, and overall portfolio performance.
  • Oversee collections activity, both within the Bank and through vendor servicers, driving and executing on prudent collections strategies minimizing delinquency and mitigating losses
  • Lead troubled debt restructure activities including structuring, negotiating, documenting and on-going customer monitoring.
  • Source portfolio information needed for sound risk management, including evaluation of macroeconomic trends with interpretation of impact to the Bank portfolio.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing data to auditors and regulators ensuring all requirements are timely met.
  • Lead portfolio strategy and asset quality meetings, providing thoughtful insights and communicating issues to affected lines of business and functional stakeholders.
  • Direct root cause analysis into data within areas of deterioration to determine special cause or systemic issues; communicating outcomes and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders and Bank committees in the formation of future activities highlighting impact to portfolio construction and quality profile.
  • Conduct periodic portfolio stress tests to support delinquency and loss forecasting.
  • Develop and document statistical analytical models, providing analysis of the portfolio including, but not limited to, quantitative analysis, probability analysis, regression analysis, and migration analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with all functional areas of the Bank and servicing vendors.
  • Plan, scope, and prioritize initiatives to meet business needs.
  • Monitor and enforce covenants and other compliance related items.
  • Oversee annual client evaluations and reviews.
