About The Position

Member of the FirstBank Florida team covering a wide range of financial services and products to corporations with various financing needs. This role will be primarily focused on overseeing Portfolio Management responsibilities for both the Commercial and Corporate Banking Portfolio. Responsible for managing the business relationships with current and potential clients. Ability to be a team player, communicate and collaborate with Clients, Business Heads, the Relationship Officers, Portfolio Managers, Business Support staff among other internal departments. Strive to achieve an outstanding level of customer service in accordance with Bank’s standards and competencies. Accountable for adhering to the Bank’s BSA, AML and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) applicable policies. Employee must follow specific unit procedures developed in compliance with the policies. Employee is also responsible for reporting any suspicious activity and/or transactions in accordance with the Bank’s processes and comply with any mandatory BSA, AML and OFAC training assigned

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Company performance of the loan portfolio including financial performance, share price updates (if applicable), headlines, Past due reports, Maturity reports, and Daily overdraft activity reports. Reports deteriorating credit situations in a timely manner.
  • Monitor Department metrics including fees, originations, portfolio balance, deposits among others.
  • Prepares customer portfolio & other miscellaneous reports as needed i.e.: quarterly covenant monitoring reports & quarterly leveraged lending reports. Ensure all reports are completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide analysis of Commercial and Corporate Portfolio; prepare customer portfolio and other miscellaneous reports as needed. Assists with the reporting of key banking metrics to internal departments including originations, portfolio balances, fees, disbursements/payoffs, among other.
  • Work with Closing, Risk, Servicing, and other departments on Inquiries including, KYC, tickler report, pending items list, insurance, UCC, among others.
  • Gain working knowledge of Credit Analysis, knowledge of LSTA regulation and maintain a current knowledge of trading protocol, along with other ad-hoc duties as necessary in order to familiarize with all department areas.
  • Request and follow-up on pending and missing legal and other documentation supporting credit assets.
  • Manage under acceptable “turnaround times” to meet client expectations in customer service requests and support the growth and development of the assigned corporate lending loan portfolio by effectively managing client requests.
  • Ensure customer service is being provided including account openings, wire transfers, client inquiries, among other requests. Manage internal processes to provide acceptable “turnaround times” to meet client expectations. Resolve customer problems & complaints in accordance with FirstBank Florida excellent service policy.
  • This will assists in loan document negotiations with bi-lateral transaction closings. Supervise department closings including primary and secondary market closings, ClearPar process and internal due diligence process. Coordinate with both internal and external parties during the underwriting, closing, and funding phases of each loan originated or acquired in the Secondary loan market.
  • Supervise all requirements of loan bookings, to include preparation, review, documentation and filing.
  • Oversee KPI’s and delivery of all Returned Mail requirements, W-8 re-certifications, Fraud Claims, Observation Place of Business (OPB), Address all BSA related matters, Audit confirmations, Reference Letters (external requests), Run OFAC reports, CCI, GOST, Credit Reports, etc.
  • Focus on managing the lending portfolios (Corporate/Syndicated, Middle Market, Project Finance, CRE, C&I, Hospitality, among others).
  • Address all Loan Review Narratives exceptions, Request Appraisals, Field Audits, BBC Reviews, etc.
