About The Position

In this role, you will be instrumental in managing a diverse portfolio of larger commercial credits, ensuring it meets key objectives of soundness, profitability, and growth. You will collaborate closely with the Commercial Lending team, providing essential credit and sales support. Your expertise in analyzing complex financial statements will drive effective credit analysis, while also advocating for cross-selling opportunities. This position emphasizes operational excellence and contributes significantly to the growth strategy of the portfolio, making you a vital resource in fostering client relationships and enhancing overall performance.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs Degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial lending.
- Proficient knowledge of credit policy, banking regulations, and loan documentation.
- Ability to analyze complex financial statements and tax returns.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within the company's credit culture.
- Proficiency with in-house financial reporting applications, including Navigator.
- Good mathematical, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage larger commercial credits to ensure portfolio soundness, profitability, and growth.
- Provide credit and sales support to Commercial Lending.
- Analyze complex financial statements and prepare credit analysis packages.
- Serve as a secondary contact on client relationships.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Assist in the loan process, including underwriting and closing.
- Prepare commitment letters and review loan documents.
- Assist lenders in their prospecting efforts.
