About The Position

East West Bank is currently seeking a Relationship Manager. This individual will work with the SVP and other relationship team members in sourcing new business, structuring and underwriting loans, and managing relationships with a variety of private capital firms. Main differentiating factor as seniority increases is the “consultative” approach this RM demonstrates when dealing with their clients. This position handles needs for a wide array of borrowers with different credit structures and depository requirements. Must have experience in selling loans.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, to include progressive selling opportunities.
  • Good understanding of financial institution departments and activities.
  • Demonstrate great customer service via phone and email
  • High energy level and ability to sell to customers' needs.
  • Ability to close, prospect and have sales planning
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established EWB credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
  • As appropriate to experience, co-manage commercial relationships by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests, and recommend structure as well as aggressively managing the client relationship
  • Responsible for credit risk and quality of the portfolio.
  • Assist with due diligence/analysis with new client relationships, opportunity memos as appropriate.
  • Monitor loan repayment activities and financial condition of borrowing clients and take necessary action to collect past due accounts and ongoing repayment ability of all other accounts.
  • May assume overall responsibility for the credit quality of the loan portfolio.
  • Make presentations on specific loans and participate in the bank's Loan Approval Process, recommending approval and appropriate structure of credits.
  • May performs other duties as assigned.
