About The Position

The Portfolio Manager at First Horizon Bank plays a crucial role in assessing risk and managing the bank's loan portfolio. This position involves providing analytical and credit oversight, conducting annual reviews, ensuring loan covenant compliance, and managing the financial collection process within the assigned loan portfolio. The Portfolio Manager collaborates with Relationship Managers to develop a high-quality and profitable loan portfolio, ensuring that client needs are met while maintaining risk management standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (4-year college)
• At least 8 years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Evaluate pertinent information to determine risk rating and assess credit risk trends.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to meet with clients and understand their requirements.
• Collect financial data for accurate risk assessment and thorough underwriting.
• Answer client questions and ensure data accuracy for loan underwriting.
• Analyze global cash flow for commercial and individual prospects to assess financial condition and repayment ability.
• Prepare financial spreads, Credit Presentation Sheets, and loan packages for approval.
• Assist in pricing and structuring new loans and renewals.
• Coordinate closing and booking events for loans.
• Monitor industry trends and analyze specific data to identify potential risks.
• Ensure timely communication with customers regarding renewal requests and compliance reviews.
