About The Position

The Pursuit & Capture team plays a crucial role in supporting Workday's Government Go-to-Market organization. Our core mission is to serve as the commercial link between Workday's innovative offerings and the distinct acquisition mandates of our Federal and Defense agencies. We are dedicated to ensuring long-term contract compliance while fostering the strategic growth of our value within these agencies, ultimately guaranteeing customer mission success. This is a unique hybrid position that consolidates Contract Compliance and Strategic Account Growth into a single function. In this capacity, you serve as the commercial guardian of a portfolio of complex Federal contracts. Your primary focus is two-fold: Governance & Assurance: You ensure Workday's rigorous delivery assurance and contract compliance. This includes administering and managing a portfolio of federal contracts—ensuring strict adherence to FAR, DFARS, and DoD acquisition policies. You will oversee all post-award activities (performance monitoring, modifications, closeouts), partnering closely with Program, Legal, and Finance teams. Strategic Account Growth: You are accountable for the long-term expansion of the Workday solution footprint within the assigned agency. This involves actively identifying "white space" opportunities and developing strategies for increasing contract value. You will act as the primary commercial touchpoint for the customer post-signature, distinct from the technical implementation teams. Leveraging deep expertise in contract interpretation, negotiation, and analysis, this role is critical to ensuring contract integrity, mitigating risk, and driving mission success for Workday Government’s Federal customer base.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience combining Contract Management, Account Management, or Customer Success within the Federa sector.
  • Minimum of 6 years of contract knowledge.
  • Requires Demonstrated experience with post-award administration (FAR/DFARS, contract mods) and performance monitoring.
  • Minimum of 6 years growing account value, managing renewals, or identifying expansion opportunities in a government setting.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex contract issues in a defense environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills for resolving disputes and finalizing contract modifications.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of ethical integrity, discretion, and professional communication with government clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in federal acquisition policies and procedures.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to partner with technical and non-technical government leaders.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
