This position reports directly to the Business Unit CFO of DDP. As a key finance business partner, the candidate will anticipate internal and/or external business challenges and actively influence management with critical analysis and sound business advice. This role collaborates with various cross-functional organizations globally and requires the ability to provide solutions to complex problems. Works independently to support a complex and growing business with a diverse set of new and existing products serving high share applications to commodity type applications.

Requirements

  • Ability to function as an independently effective and respected partner to internal partners
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to handle data effectively
  • Strong written and executive communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
  • Strong understanding of accounting/financial principles and regulations/legal requirements
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10-15 years of experience in corporate finance, semiconductor, or components manufacturing preferred
  • Position requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials' core values.

  • MBA preferred
  • 2+ years of people manager experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Financial owner of Portfolio management initiatives/improvements within the BU
  • Business partnering with BU Strategic Marketing to understand technology inflections and market competition landscape.
  • Perform ROI analysis focusing on product cost savings and revenue potentials to determine viability for new product developments.
  • Build OpEx models to support long term strategic plan / scenario analysis.
  • Drive Enterprise Portfolio Review process
  • Provide value-add participation in the updates of NPV models.
  • Lead quarterly Opex / CapEx spend planning by project.
  • Prepare to present financial forecasts to Senior Management for decision support.
  • Interfacing with Operations and COE team to manage Opex to target and prioritizing projects.
  • Proactively identify and drive process improvement initiatives
