About The Position

The Commercial Client Lending Portfolio Associate supports the ongoing credit risk management and monitoring of a portfolio of commercial loans to operating companies. Commercial Client Lending focuses on providing traditional commercial banking credit solutions to middle market and commercial clients across a range of industries. The portfolio includes senior secured and unsecured credit facilities such as revolving lines of credit, term loans, and other structured commercial lending products. Responsibilities include portfolio surveillance, covenant tracking, loan review support, maintaining data integrity across systems, and coordinating with Portfolio Managers, Credit, and Operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in portfolio management, credit analysis, and/or commercial lending
• Working knowledge of financial statements, credit agreements, and covenant structures
• Strong Excel skills; experience with credit systems (nCino, Moody’s, or similar) preferred
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned commercial loan portfolio for payments, maturities, covenant compliance, and required documentation
• Track, escalate, and document covenant breaches, exceptions, and emerging credit risks
• Support periodic loan reviews, including financial analysis and risk rating recommendations
• Assist with renewals, amendments, waivers, extensions, and ongoing portfolio maintenance
• Support portfolio reporting, stress testing exercises, and audit/regulatory requests
• Maintain accurate loan data and ownership in nCino and related systems
• Identify data issues and contribute to process and reporting improvements
