About The Position

This individual will work closely with all staff members, including those in operations, client service and portfolio management, to assist in the day-to-day management of the firm's accounts and relationships. This position is required to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to client and company information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities in a team environment.
  • Ability and desire to take on additional responsibilities to support career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the trading for fixed income and equity portfolios, including building orders for individual accounts and block trading.
  • Maintain and update portfolio models within our portfolio accounting system.
  • Maintain and manage portfolio restrictions.
  • Facilitate communication of trade order allocation details between custodians and executing brokers; research/resolve discrepancies to ensure timely trade settlement.
  • Perform post-trade compliance checks to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with portfolio rules.
  • Prepare trade analysis reports in support of business development efforts.
  • Review and update security information within our portfolio accounting and trading systems.
  • Maintain account-level details in portfolio accounting and CRM systems.
  • Provide backup and cross training with other Operations staff.
  • Adhere to all the firm's Code of Ethics and Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform any other duties and special projects as necessary.
