Requirements

  • A strong understanding of financial reporting systems, US GAAP, journal entries, financial statement preparation, procedures and controls
  • Strong track record of delivering accurate, timely accounting information and reports
  • Presence and poise to interact with internal and external groups
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and prioritization capabilities to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-4 years of public accounting and/or private accounting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the financial industry or hedge funds is preferred
  • Familiarity with waterfall models is preferred
  • CPA license is a plus
  • Bright and a quick learner, a self-motivated team player
  • Proactive and high-energy with a hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Flexible, adaptable, self-confident and able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounting records for various SPVs across the Credit Funds
  • Bi-weekly reviews of transactional activity booked by Operations staff
  • Coordination and review of monthly reporting with fund administrator
  • Coordinate with auditors on deliverables and assist in preparation of financial statements, footnotes and supporting schedules for audited vehicles
  • Prepare financial statements for external reporting
  • Assist in enhancement of accounting and reporting procedures
  • Assist with various special projects on an ad-hoc basis
