About The Position

The Porter plays a vital role at Club Fitness to ensure that the facility is clean and meets the expectations of members. The Porter will be responsible for any combination of cleaning duties on the gym floor, locker rooms, and offices.

Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• Prior janitorial services in hospitality or a health club.
• Must have excellent organization, interpersonal and time management skills.
• Must be able to collaborate and work as part of a team in a professional manner.
• Must follow proper body mechanics and safe lifting procedures in a fast-paced, active gym facility.
• This position may be physically demanding at times, requiring mobility and exertion throughout the shift.
• Daily duties may involve lifting, squatting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing.
• Candidates must be able to lift, carry or move up to 50 pounds safely.

Responsibilities

• Dust all surfaces and equipment daily.
• Clean all glass, mirrors, and surfaces throughout the facility.
• Empty trash receptacles daily and replace liners as needed.
• Restock locker rooms and other areas with necessary supplies.
• Clean vacuum canisters daily to maintain equipment performance.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain all flooring (tile, rubber, and other surfaces).
• Pick up debris throughout the facility to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Promptly report any maintenance or repair needs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Clean and sanitize fitness equipment, locker rooms, and bathrooms, including showers, sinks, toilets, mirrors, walls, and lockers.
