Part-time Porter - Older Adults Center

About The Position

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the Older Adults Center facility. This includes daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, wiping windows, and trash disposal. The role also involves stocking deliveries, maintaining inventory, and performing snow removal from designated areas. All tasks are to be performed as noted in checklists and as directed by the Program Director.

Requirements

• Experience in maintenance/janitorial.
• Comfortable with equipment including but not limited to buffer, power washer, etc.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with geriatric population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of interior and exterior of facility.
• Ensure that all dirt, dust, litter and debris is removed from all areas of the facility using brooms, mops, brushes and other hand tools.
• Perform daily duties including sweeping and mopping, cleaning bathrooms, wiping windows, disposing of all trash.
• Stock deliveries and maintain inventory.
• Shovel, plow, or blow snow from the entrance and exit ramps and in areas designated by the Program Director.
• Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed by the Program Director.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
