Outreach is seeking a qualified full time Porter/Office Cleaner to work for our substance abuse treatment program. The Porter/Office Cleaner will carry out vital services that keep our building running smoothly. Each role at Outreach has identified production and outcome goals. These goals may be stated as a number or as an outcome within an identified time frame.  These goals are intended to provide each job holder the knowledge they need about expected performance.  Accomplishments against these goals will be a discussion point in the annual evaluation. Requirements

  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED
  • Previous experience as a cleaner/porter
  • Understanding of federal and state building safety standards
  • Knowledge of OSHA universal precautions
  • Clean and valid NYS driver’s license a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Basic construction, electrical and plumbing skills a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lobby maintenance
  • Clean common areas like kitchens, cafeterias and offices
  • Vacuum all carpeted rooms and mop non-carpeted floors
  • Monitor and service restrooms, refill soap dispensers, toilet paper rolls, toilet seat covers and paper towels in bathrooms
  • Remove trash and debris
  • Meeting setup/tear down
  • Wipe down desks/file cabinets, etc. in all offices
  • Be aware of universal precautions and proper procedures for cleaning up hazardous spills
