About The Position

The Nutrition Service department is looking for top talent and your career development is extremely important. Upon hire you will automatically be enrolled in the Nutrition Services Career Path which allows you to experience unique learning and skill development opportunities. Complete the entire Career Path and you can earn an additional $3.50 per hour. Under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager and Supervisor, functions of the Porter will focus on sanitation in a variety of areas in retail, patient services, and coffee kiosks. This position is responsible for excellence in cleanliness in all aspects of our service areas. Responsible for ware washing in accordance with safety guidelines. Responsible for the pot and pan supplies for the Cooks area as well. Assist in other areas as needed. The Porter is also responsible for vendor receiving from the dock as well as the storage and maintenance in the storeroom. Food transport to our satellite locations may also be needed, based on departmental need. This position may be required to work at any/all Parkview entities.

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of frequent standing, walking, stooping and bending

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 1 year related work experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in hospitality services, customer services, of general labor
  • Previous experience in nutritional services in a medical or hospital setting
