About The Position
Porters are employees who sweep, mop and dust premises, are responsible for the general cleanup and snow shoveling, operate the mechanized scrubbing machine, clean the offices, empty garbage and trash barrels, bins. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Sweep and clear out debris from the warehouse floors. Focus is keep the businesses running cleanly and smoothly. Work to make sure that the warehouse facility is neat, clean, free from clutter and safe. Pick up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, or using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors. Physical demands and abilities Frequently lifting to 75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time Having a good sense of balance Having good eye-hand-foot coordination Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season The anticipated pay for this position is $18.00 per hour.
