About The Position

Associa is hiring a Porter for its community in Sterling, VA. Daily responsibilities: Perform general cleaning, light floor care and special event set ups. Remove all trash from all trash receptacles and doggie stations; replenish bags as necessary. Create and maintain positive and professional relationships with all community residents, contractors, and visitors. Conduct routine/scheduled walk-throughs and drive-throughs to assess, record, and report property conditions, e.g. graffiti, parking violations, missing/damaged signs, damaged fences, trail blockages, fallen trees, bulk trash violations, suspicious activities, etc. Assist with all grounds and facilities projects. Ensure the cleanliness of all tot lots, common parking lots, tennis/pickleball courts, basketball courts, and all other common areas. Make pickups/deliveries of supplies, materials, and/or equipment. Ensure upkeep and cleanliness of maintenance shop, shop yard, company vehicles and company equipment. Assist with quarterly tools & equipment inventory. Assist with events and meetings setups, e.g. tables, chairs, etc. Perform general cleaning, light floor care and special event set ups. Operate company vehicle as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Required.
1+ year of related experience.
Professional customer service and communication skills (written and spoken).
Timely follow-up skills and team oriented.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work efficiently.
Proactive work habits and takes the initiative.
Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.).
Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
Knowledge of equipment associated with custodial trades.
Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
