About The Position

The Porter plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and fully functional environment within and around office facilities. This high-energy, detail-oriented team player supports daily operations by delivering consistent janitorial and hospitality services, including routine cleaning, housekeeping, restroom sanitation, and waste management. The role requires strong maintenance awareness, ensuring facilities remain in excellent condition through proactive upkeep and prompt response to spills, repairs, and unexpected incidents. With a service-driven mindset, the porter upholds high-quality standards, follows efficient processes, and contributes to a professional, welcoming atmosphere by collaborating effectively with team members and responding quickly to the evolving needs of the workplace.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of hospitality experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a corporate environment preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, extremely detail-oriented, and use good judgment.
  • Care about the physical appearance of the office and have a “White Glove Hospitality” mindset and demeanor.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work, follow procedures, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work well on a team, as well as independently.
  • Must have flexibility with hours when the need arises.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver white-glove, high-touch service to support a professional corporate environment.
  • Coordinate and manage food ordering for meetings and events/ensure timely delivery and proper setup.
  • Set up, break down, and reconfigure conference rooms for meetings and events, including food, beverages, tables, and presentation details.
  • Clean, sanitize, and reset conference rooms and common areas after meetings to maintain a pristine appearance.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning of offices, pantries, kitchens, and common areas (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting).
  • Maintain and sanitize kitchen and breakroom appliances (coffee machines, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.) and ensure daily functionality.
  • Monitor, stock, and replenish inventory across conference rooms, pantries, supply closets, and breakrooms (food, beverages, paper goods, cleaning supplies).
  • Manage vendor relationships for ordering supplies, tracking deliveries, and resolving issues.
  • Oversee restroom cleanliness and stocking multiple times daily to ensure a consistent guest-ready standard.
  • Handle waste management, including breakdown and disposal of boxes, trash removal, and recycling.
  • Support corporate events by preparing and maintaining refreshments and assisting with logistics and setup.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify safety hazards, cleanliness issues, or maintenance needs; report and address promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and health regulations when handling cleaning products and chemicals.
  • Assist with light facilities maintenance, including moving furniture (up to 50 lbs) and supporting space reconfigurations.
  • Maintain overall organization, cleanliness, and professional presentation across all office and exterior spaces, including basic landscaping upkeep.
