About The Position
General Function: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in accordance with policy and procedures set forth by West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital . Providing daily garbage, biohazard soiled linen pickup throughout the hospital. Will clean emergency rooms, surgical suites and obstetrical suites after hours and on weekends. Will dry mop, wet mop and buff assigned areas. Set up conference rooms for meetings. Will use different chemicals and equipment to accomplish these goals. May be directed to assist with laundry duties in the event of an uncontrollable emergency or staff shortage. Duties include but not limited to: Retrieving of dirty linen from areas, washing, drying, folding and delivering of clean linens to areas. May be directed to assist in housekeeping duties in same situations as mentioned with laundry.
Requirements
- GED or High School Diploma
- One year experience in cleaning or janitorial work.
