Position: Porter Outreach is seeking a qualified full time Porter/Office Cleaner to work for our substance abuse treatment program. The Porter/Office Cleaner will carry out vital services that keep our building running smoothly.
Requirements
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a cleaner/porter
- Understanding of federal and state building safety standards
- Knowledge of OSHA universal precautions
Nice To Haves
- Basic construction, electrical and plumbing skills a plus
- Clean and valid NYS driver’s license a plus
Responsibilities
- Lobby maintenance
- Clean common areas like kitchens, cafeterias and offices
- Vacuum all carpeted rooms and mop non-carpeted floors
- Monitor and service restrooms, refill soap dispensers, toilet paper rolls, toilet seat covers and paper towels in bathrooms
- Remove trash and debris
- Meeting setup/tear down
- Wipe down desks/file cabinets, etc. in all offices
- Be aware of universal precautions and proper procedures for cleaning up hazardous spills
