About The Position

Boardwalk Investments Group, LLC ("Boardwalk") is a privately held commercial real estate investment company. Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, the Firm currently manages a commercial real estate portfolio comprised of retail, mixed-use, office and multifamily assets located primarily in Orange County, California. Since 2012, Boardwalk's investment strategy is to actively acquire, stabilize, and manage commercial real estate located in core, coastal markets in California. The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the property’s common areas. This role supports daily operations by ensuring shared spaces are well-kept, assisting with light maintenance tasks, and providing responsive, professional service to residents and team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous porter, janitorial, or similar experience preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, supplies, and equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between properties
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
  • Availability to work a Monday–Thursday schedule during assigned shift hours

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, and outdoor spaces
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors on a regular schedule
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures, mirrors, and countertops
  • Assist with the cleaning and preparation of vacant units for new residents
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and air filters
  • Conduct routine inspections of common areas and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of community events as needed
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment; report low inventory or needed replacements
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests related to cleaning or minor maintenance
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Handle and store cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with established guidelines
  • Assist with seasonal property maintenance tasks, including snow removal when applicable
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service at all times
