Liberty Tire Recycling has an immediate opening for a Plant Custodian in Port Saint Lucie, FL. This position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the plant and helping with painting and maintenance on the buildings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial or related roles is preferred but not required
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable with hard labor and exposure to various cleaning agents
• Proficient in using hand tools for maintenance tasks
• Basic painting skills
• Knowledge of safe forklift operations and safety protocols
• Willingness to work in hot, wet, or noisy conditions

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties such as cleaning, mopping, sweeping, dusting, and vacuuming designated areas
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break room, and other common areas
• Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal
• Maintain cleanliness of offices and hallways
• Perform painting projects when required
• Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
• Operate a forklift to transport material safely and efficiently
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
• Other duties as needed
