As our Porter, you will provide high quality service to our residents, joining a team of outstanding team members with a commitment to excellence. You will hold yourself to a high set of standards, demonstrate a positive, service-minded demeanor, and successfully manage multiple shifting priorities. You will be responsible for the routine maintenance of the physical integrity of the community, including daily pickup of grounds, ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Light Maintenance Skills a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Physically walks the property on a frequent basis and removes litter, debris and pet droppings from the common grounds.
  • Community/Welcome Center
  • Pond area
  • Recreation areas
  • Grounds adjacent to the roads
  • Walkways to and from, and in-between buildings
  • Parking lots and drives
  • Performs “trash-out” duties at vacated units, as needed. Removes all abandoned furniture, etc.
  • Details property on a regular basis
  • Performs routine maintenance on property as requested by Supervisor or Property Manager
  • Assists with various physical tasks as directed; e.g., tearing down fences, digging potholes, etc.
  • Assists with “make-ready” duties
  • Helps clean and maintain storage areas
  • Performs exterior painting duties when requested
  • Completes minor and routine service requests when requested by Supervisor or Property Manager
  • Distributes resident communications to residents; e.g., rakes, sweeps, shovels as circumstances warrant
