About The Position

The Porter I position at Deployed Services, LLC involves supporting various departments by ensuring that staff and associates have the necessary items and assistance at the right time. This role is critical for maintaining smooth operations throughout the facility, including tasks related to housekeeping, warehouse management, meal preparation, and personal property management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance.
  • Run walk/drive files to/from field offices/sites.
  • Perform basic housekeeping tasks such as picking up trash, sweeping, and shredding paper.
  • Assist in operating access doors and answering phones.
  • Manage personal property by tagging, bagging, sealing, storing, and retrieving items.
  • Prepare meals by heating, receiving, and distributing food, and providing cups and water.
  • Receive and distribute warehouse supplies including clothes, blankets, and personal care items.
  • Restock, organize, sort, and label supply items in the warehouse.
  • Conduct supply runs to pick up pre-purchased items from vendors.
  • Pick up medical prescriptions from local pharmacies.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
