Requirements

• Must be able to pass background & drug screen.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must speak and write English.
• Must have physical strength to move dumpsters 3 times a week with little to no assistance.
• Must have swimming pool maintenance experience.
• Prefer high school graduate, although this is not mandatory.
• Previous groundskeeper/porter experience helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for making sure the grounds look immaculate at all times.
• Will help with make ready’s and assist the maintenance department at all times.
• Cleans and picks up trash from around the trash dumpster, ensuring a clean and tidy appearance at all times.
• Cleans and arranges furniture and trash receptacles in pool area(s).
• Possesses pool operator's certificate.
• Tests chemical level of pool water on daily basis and checks to maintain proper chemical balance.
• Cleans and maintains club facilities in an orderly, presentable and decorative fashion.
• Maintains cleanliness of office and all other amenity and common area facilities assuring general cleanliness of grounds, laundry rooms, walkways, streets, driveways, parking lots, entrances, foyers, breezeways, recreational areas, etc.
• May perform exterior building light checks and assist with repairs and replacement of same.
• Performs supplemental landscape maintenance and irrigation system repair and/or supplemental watering of lawn and landscape areas.
• May be required, in the absence of separate yard crew or outside landscape maintenance contractor, to perform extensive in-house landscape and gardening duties such as mowing, edging, trimming, sweeping, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, planting, etc.
• Thoroughly trashes out vacated apartments designated by supervisor and prepare same for make-ready and re-renting, including carpet repairs, dying and shampooing as needed.
