About The Position

The Scion Group is seeking a full-time Porter/Gatekeeper to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of a residential property's common areas. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks, assisting with cleaning services, and providing excellent customer service in a collegiate environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining property standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or trade school diploma.
• One year of full-time experience in lawn/grounds maintenance or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to read instructions and document labor and materials efficiently.
• Record of punctuality and dependability, with the ability to work under pressure and flexibility for after-hours emergencies.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to The Scion Group's Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA and Industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain the asset and minimize liability concerns.
• Remove trash and debris from common areas continuously.
• Sweep and remove debris from curbs, parking areas, walkways, and stairways as scheduled.
• Maintain and repair loose stairwell treads and exterior lighting.
• Mow lawn areas, remove clippings, and trim planting beds as scheduled.
• Apply weed and feed to lawn areas and top seed and water as needed.
• Install seasonal plantings, replacement shrubs, and trees.
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs as directed.
• Maintain, adjust, and repair irrigation systems and fountains as needed.
• Clean pool and spa according to manufacturer specifications and code compliance.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to pool equipment as directed.
• Know emergency procedures for the property, including shutoff valves and access to sewer cleanouts.
• Promote safety awareness to limit property loss and damage or injury to residents and visitors.
• Keep drainage grills clear of leaves and pressure-wash sidewalks and buildings.
• Assist in snow removal at the property as required.
• Undertake training related to job duties as necessary.
• Maintain required property uniform and present a professional appearance.
