Role Overview: The Porter/Dishwasher ensures Kommissary’s facilities remain clean, safe, and efficient. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, maintaining workspaces, and supporting janitorial tasks to uphold health and safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires you to work in both fulfillment centers located in Bronx, NY and LIC, NY (as needed) Monday-Friday from 1:00 pm -6:30 pm.

Requirements

1+ year of experience in a commercial kitchen or food production (required).
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to sanitation standards.
Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work standing or walking for extended periods.
Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and moving at a fast pace.
Work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
Perform janitorial tasks, including cleaning offices and bathrooms.
Handle deep cleaning and facility maintenance as needed.
Work safely with cleaning chemicals and maintain adherence to sanitation standards.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Prioritize tasks, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Follow all company policies, health, and safety regulations.
