Portable Sanitation Operations Supervisor
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Portable Sanitation Operations Supervisor join our waste and recycling management team! Your Role: As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily portable toilet operations, including route execution, team performance, equipment readiness, and customer service. This role is hands-on and requires a leader who can effectively manage both people and field operations in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as an operations supervisor, preferably in the waste management or transportation industry
- Strong knowledge of waste management practices and regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in using operational management software and other relevant computer applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of portable toilet service routes
- Lead and manage a team of drivers/service technicians
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Allocate resources (people and equipment) to meet service demands
- Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement
- Partner with the District Manager on budget and P&L performance
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure timely service recovery
- Maintain service logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce company safety standards
- Oversee maintenance and readiness of trucks, pumps, and portable units
