About The Position

Coastal Waste & Recycling is looking for a dedicated Portable Sanitation Driver to join our team and deliver top-notch service and transport of our portable toilets. Your Role:  As a Portable Sanitation Driver will be responsible for the delivery, servicing, and maintenance of portable toilets. This includes pumping, cleaning, and maintaining units in the field while operating company vehicles in compliance with all safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement and a clean driving record required
  • Knowledge of local geography and road networks
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to operate and maintain waste collection vehicles and equipment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and operating heavy equipment
  • Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)
  • Must be able to safely lift and move 50lbs or more at a time
  • Able to sit in trailer cab for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Drive service truck along assigned routes to customer sites
  • Pump, clean, and sanitize portable toilets and sanitation units according to company standards
  • Ensure units are left clean, presentable, and ready for continued use
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the service truck and equipment
  • Communicate with dispatch about route progress and any issues or delays
  • Accurately log completed services using electronic devices or paperwork
  • Maintain truck cleanliness and perform minor maintenance as needed
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety procedures
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
