About The Position
Located in the largest jurisdiction in the National Capitol Region, the Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) is a progressive public health leader serving 1.2 million residents from diverse ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds. We are committed to promoting population health, protecting public health and the environment, and achieving equity in health services and outcomes. As part of the Division of Epidemiology and Population Health, this full-time entry level position will provide support for efforts directed toward monitoring population health and well-being and understanding the behavioral, structural, economic, social, and cultural factors impacting health status, disparities, and inequities across communities. Work under this position will primarily focus on issues around mental health and substance use. Additionally, this position will contribute to ongoing organizational performance monitoring, evaluation, and quality improvement activities through various data collection, management, analysis, and reporting efforts in collaboration with other FCHD staff.
