About The Position

This Population Health Coordinator position will act as the Youth Program Coordinator, with guidance from supervisors and funders to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive statewide Youth Operator Program in New Hampshire. This role will lead the creation and long-term sustainability of an initiative to reduce motor-vehicle crashes among novice drivers, working closely with NH middle and high schools and key community partners. The Coordinator promotes evidence-based traffic‑safety education, facilitates the NH Safe Roads Committee, and supports outreach efforts to strengthen awareness and impact of teen driver safety across the state. Experience in prevention education and health promotion, and comfort with public speaking, are preferred. The successful candidate must be able to travel statewide in New Hampshire for program activities and partnership outreach as needed. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week hybrid position. Specifics about the hybrid nature of this position are discussed during the interview.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in related field
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, creativity, flexibility, diplomacy, and the ability to work as part of and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate projects under pressure with support.
  • Has or obtains field-specific or dept. certifications within 24 months.
  • Completes Certified Prevention Specialist or other training required by contract or Community Health Department within 12 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in prevention education and health promotion, and comfort with public speaking, are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements project assessment activities with guidance from supervisors and other partners.
  • Supports and provides technical assistance to one or more collaborative partnerships.
  • Collaboratively works with internal and external stakeholders to plan evidence-based/best practice projects.
  • Supports and coordinates efforts of internal and external stakeholders to implement evidence-based practices, activities and programs.
  • Develops and implements project evaluation activities with guidance from supervisors and other partners.
  • Coaches and mentors project partners/peers and Project Assistants
  • Represents Dartmouth-Hitchcock in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
