About The Position

The Pool Supervisor oversees daily pool operations at Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort, ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all guests. This role is responsible for supervising the lifeguard team, maintaining high safety standards, coordinating scheduling and training, and ensuring compliance with all operational, health, and safety policies. The Pool Supervisor leads by example, fosters a positive team culture, and supports an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a lifeguard; leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED (or ability to obtain before start date).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Commitment to guest service and safety excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support, and mentor a team of lifeguards, including performance oversight and coaching.
  • Ensure all lifeguards adhere to company policies, guest service standards, and safety procedures.
  • Lead daily shift briefings, conduct in-water skill refreshers, and support ongoing team development.
  • Train new and returning lifeguards on emergency procedures, water safety, customer service, and site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain records of staff certifications, required trainings, and completed drills.
  • Coordinate safety audits and readiness assessments.
  • Create and manage the weekly lifeguard schedule to ensure adequate coverage for all pool sessions.
  • Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and staffing needs; coordinate coverage during peak times.
  • Oversee daily pool maintenance tasks including water testing, chemical balancing, cleaning, and monitoring pool conditions.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly; report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of pool decks, surrounding areas, and guest-use items such as towels and supplies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest safety, responding quickly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies.
  • Support a welcoming, informative, and guest-centered environment.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Safety Team regarding safety policies, incident reporting, and hazard mitigation.
  • Maintain accurate logs including water quality records, incident reports, and staff certifications.
  • Assist with onboarding seasonal lifeguard staff.
  • Ensure pool operations comply with National Park Service guidelines and Aramark Destinations policies.
