The position of Pool Server in the Pool Bar department is primarily focused on providing attentive and efficient service to guests, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2+ Years as a server.
  • Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.
  • Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.
  • Food handlers certification.
  • CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.
  • Tips Training necessary, may be provided by the Hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Taking care of every guest as it pertains to food service.
  • Knowledge of the sequence of service: Explanation of daily specials, wine order, food order, mis-en-place for table, serve appetizer, serve entrée, check with guest periodically to ensure satisfaction, dessert and coffee service, presentation of check.
  • Knowledge of beverages, wines, drink recipes, basic garnishes, food service.
  • Serves guests food and beverages poolside.
  • Removes dishes, glasses, silverware or other items from tables and countertops and takes them to the dish pit for proper sanitation.
  • Responsible for maintaining an organized and clean service area at all times, including set up and breakdown.
  • Ability to up-sell and increase check averages.
  • Adheres to proper cash drop procedures and closing out daily procedure.
  • Remaining and being seen on the floor at all times.
  • Abiding by hotel and sanitation guidelines.
  • Wipe down, set up and move, when necessary, all pool deck equipment.
