About The Position

The Seasonal Nursing Pool position at Baptist Health South Florida is a temporary nursing role requiring a commitment of 12 weeks. The role involves providing nursing care across various departments within the hospital, ensuring quality patient care in a compassionate environment. Candidates must be licensed Registered Nurses eligible to practice in Florida and hold necessary certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS. This position is designed for flexibility, requiring nurses to float to different areas as needed and work a total of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend.

Requirements

  • Valid RN license eligible to practice in Florida.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (dependent upon unit).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (dependent upon unit).
  • Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card (ONS) may be required as per department standard.

Responsibilities

  • Float to all areas within the hospital as needed or assigned.
  • Work any three twelve-hour shifts per week and every other weekend during the Agreement period for a total of 36 hours per week.

Benefits

  • Not entitled to Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • Not eligible to participate in any Baptist Health South Florida benefit programs.
