About The Position

The Radiation Therapist is a licensed professional who under the general direction of the Chief Radiation Therapist contributes to the organizational plan of the Radiation Oncology Unit, to the quality of patient care and supports the institutional philosophy. The Radiation Therapist is technically competent at the entry level, and is able to interact with other areas of the department. The Radiation Therapist applies ionizing radiation to the patients as instructed and prescribed by the physician according to departmental standards, state guidelines, and Baptist Health System's policy and procedure. The Radiation Therapist supports the Mission and Vision of the entity and department along with BHSF's Service Excellence philosophy.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Radiation Therapy or Associate in Radiologic Science with Radiation Therapy Certification.
  • Certification must be awarded by an institution accredited by ARRT.
  • Basic understanding of Radiation Oncology technical and theoretical components.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the organizational plan of the Radiation Oncology Unit.
  • Ensure quality of patient care.
  • Apply ionizing radiation to patients as prescribed by the physician.
  • Interact with other areas of the department.
  • Support the Mission and Vision of the entity and department.

Benefits

  • Estimated pay range for this position is $52.00 / hour depending on shift as applicable.
