Performs phlebotomy on out-patients and in-patients to include acute patient care areas, ICU, Oncology, Nursery, Surgery, Post Anesthesia, and ED in accordance with established National Patient Safety Goals and Baptist Health published protocols. Demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal skills when dealing with others to included patients, family, Nurses, Physicians and Ancillary Care team members, in order to maximize quality patient care, and assure patient satisfaction. Performs accurate processing of all specimens in a timely manner to ensure quality patient care. Faxes and distributes results as appropriate. Responsible for maintaining knowledge and deployment of policies and procedures used within the department as well as throughout the hospital to address patient questions and concerns. Estimated pay range for this position is $23.50 / hour depending on shift as applicable.
