Responsibilities
- Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
- Integrates patient and family-centered care and the quality caring factors into practice.
- Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on the learning needs of the patient.
- Participates in Evidence-based improvement activities related to area of practice.
- Participates in professional development based on the nursing professional's standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.
- Maintains flexibility to support multiple clinic operations across campuses, including MIP, MSS, MWC, and Speros.
- Communicates effectively with clinic operations managers and interdisciplinary teams at each location to ensure continuity and consistency of care.
Requirements
- BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience
- FL RN License
- BLS Certification
- Medical and Hematology oncology experience as a registered nurse
- Outpatient clinic experience as a registered nurse
- Strong assessment skills
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills across multiple teams and environments
- Flexibility to work until 6:00pm, as needed, depending on patient needs
- Must be willing to travel to all Moffitt campuses
- Must provide a minimum of 48 hours of availability per pay period; however, scheduled hours are not guaranteed.
