Responsibilities

  • Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
  • Integrates patient and family-centered care and the quality caring factors into practice.
  • Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on the learning needs of the patient.
  • Participates in Evidence-based improvement activities related to area of practice.
  • Participates in professional development based on the nursing professional's standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.
  • Maintains flexibility to support multiple clinic operations across campuses, including MIP, MSS, MWC, and Speros.
  • Communicates effectively with clinic operations managers and interdisciplinary teams at each location to ensure continuity and consistency of care.

Requirements

  • BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience
  • FL RN License
  • BLS Certification
  • Medical and Hematology oncology experience as a registered nurse
  • Outpatient clinic experience as a registered nurse
  • Strong assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills across multiple teams and environments
  • Flexibility to work until 6:00pm, as needed, depending on patient needs
  • Must be willing to travel to all Moffitt campuses
  • Must provide a minimum of 48 hours of availability per pay period; however, scheduled hours are not guaranteed.
