About The Position

Under the direction of a Radiologist, Administrative Director or Radiology Section Leader, performs radiographic procedures according to protocols established for various age groups of patients, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a wide variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required. Assesses the age-specific needs of the patients. Acquires data to input into the nuclear computers, maintains department computers, and performs all scans set forth in department procedure manual. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of TGH.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 2-year training program in Nuclear Medicine from an AMA approved school.
  • Must be licensed by the State of Florida in Nuclear Medicine Technology and carry a national registry such and the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board and/or the ARRT.
  • Current CPR certification and four (4) hours HIV/AIDS.
  • Florida Licensure or will have 90 days to become licensed to practice as Radiologic Technologist by State of Florida.
  • Will not be able to perform exams prior to evidence of licensure.
