About The Position

Pool Monitor Position Overview TheBoydCompanies.com is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Pool Monitor to oversee the pool area, ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents and guests. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and capable of maintaining pool cleanliness, monitoring chemical levels, and enforcing pool rules.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in pool maintenance or monitoring is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of pool chemicals and safety procedures is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand and be active for extended periods.
  • Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in pool maintenance, or a similar role is a plus but not required.
  • Skills: Effective communication, and strong attention to detail.
  • Must demonstrate a solid work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to perform light manual labor.
  • Basic knowledge of pool chemicals and safety procedures is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a credit and criminal background check.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and be active for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (e.g., moving pool furniture, equipment, or cleaning supplies).
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching required for pool maintenance tasks.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including sun, heat, and humidity.
  • Interaction with residents and guests, requiring excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain proper pool chemical levels, conducting regular water tests.
  • Maintain sign-in and sign-out logs for all pool visitors.
  • Ensure the pool area remains clean and orderly, including straightening furniture and removing debris.
  • Ensure the pool restrooms remain clean and orderly, including maintaining paper supplies
  • Perform basic pool upkeep, such as skimming and light cleaning.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure guest safety.
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Ensure the pool area and outdoor kitchen remain clean and orderly, including straightening furniture, emptying trash and removing debris.
