About The Position

Ensures guests enjoy an optimal experience while utilizing the pool facilities. Responsible for monitoring the swimming safety, and sanitation practice, rules and regulations. Attends to, and monitors the operation of the pool slide. Maintains area during idle time and reports any deficiencies back to management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Sol Casinos' internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of guest service principles and practices.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Lifesaving principles and practices including rescue and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • First Aid
  • Ability to work in the sun.
  • Ability to swim without assistance.
  • Ability to demonstrate good customer service skills to execute the directly related duties and responsibilities of the job.
  • Must possess a valid CPR/First Aid certification at time of hire and maintain certification without lapse during term of employment.
  • Must be very friendly with an outgoing personality and the ability to work in the sun with the public.
  • Must be able to swim without assistance.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain, maintain, and retain a valid non-gaming license.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a luxury, resort environment.
  • Current lifeguard certification by a recognized source of training.

Responsibilities

  • Attends to the pool slide during hours of operation. Ensures guest safety in compliance with hotel policy.
  • Maintains constant surveillance of guests in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests.
  • Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell to guests using a guest's name, when possible, and making good eye contact.
  • Engages guests in polite conversation.
  • Provides exceptional service during their stay by anticipating needs.
  • Sufficiently knowledgeable of hotel facilities and services in order to accurately respond to guest inquiries.
  • Functions as a supportive team member during shifts.
  • Performs housekeeping duties as assigned during non-peak periods.
  • Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
