About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests visiting the facility by following all City of Garland and Jeff Ellis and Associates protocols. The manager will oversee the aquatic operations to include: hiring, training, and scheduling of staff and inventory management. The manager will ensure a safe and clean aquatics facility. Pay Range: $18.00/hr. - $27.00/hr. (Depending on qualifications and experience) Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Take a proactive role in ensuring guest safety. Supervise employees to carry out job functions. Assist teaching lifeguard courses. Oversee schedules, ordering and training for the assigned aquatic facility. Conduct effective shift briefings and trainings. Train and develop team to deliver life saving measures as needed. Oversee the implementation of standards as outlined in the standard operating procedures. Maintain a safe and organized work area and facility. Implement and participate in regularly scheduled trainings. Oversee and assist maintaining a clean facility. Administer life saving measures as needed. Oversee and assist with programs, guest services and rentals as needed. Oversee cash handling procedures at assigned location. Maintain an inviting work environment by inspiring others with enthusiasm and positivity. Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance.

Requirements

  • Must be 17 years old on opening day of the aquatic facilities.
  • Jeff Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Instructor License by opening day of aquatics season.
  • One year lifeguard experience.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to and from the workplace.
  • Ability to learn lifesaving water skills to pass the Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Class.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years+ lifeguard experience.
  • Jeff Ellis and Associated Lifeguard Instructor License.
  • Valid Class C Texas driver’s license preferred.
