About The Position

The Pool Service Maintenance Specialist I is responsible for maintaining pools at client's and associated facilities. This involves a range of tasks from routine cleaning and chemical treatments to deep cleaning, equipment inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs. The specialist will regularly test water quality, calculate and add necessary chemical treatments, and maintain detailed logs of all activities.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Extensive understanding of repairs, automation, equipment, and piping related to swimming pools.
  • Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment.
  • Math skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to maintain logs and records.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of related experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and maintains filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.
  • Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
  • Regularly tests pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data.
  • Ensures correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.
  • Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.
  • Inspects pool and equipment; troubleshoots and repairs identified issues.
  • Completes and maintains daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
  • Resolves client or customer problems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
