About The Position

Corlann, Limerick Applications are invited for the following positions across our services Pool Lifeguard Work Locations: Limerick City Fixed Term 12 month Contract Panels will be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled. Have good working knowledge of safety procedures relating to supervision in a pool and be ready and able, if necessary, to perform a rescue, CPR or administer first aid · Know all aspects of the Emergency Action Plan · Implement session programmes which help promote skill development and water independence across a range of abilities. This will include providing one to one support in the water · Perform regular pool tests, checks on safety equipment and swim aids around the pool area. Be able to follow Normal Operating Procedures · Attend to the pool plant-room when necessary, checking chemical levels and ensuring smooth operation of circulation and filtration systems All applicants are required to : · Pool Lifeguard Award Level 2 Water Safety Ireland or equivalent - Assistant Swim Teacher Award - Minimum of 6 months experience working as a lifeguard in a deep-water pool. - Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills - Ability to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team Corlann Ireland is an Equal Opportunities Employer
