About The Position
The Pool Leak Detection Specialist position at American Leak Detection is a full-time role focused on identifying and resolving leaks in pool plumbing systems and structures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ethical foundation, a friendly demeanor, and a commitment to customer service. This position requires travel throughout Austin and its surrounding areas using a company-provided truck. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, with hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, although some days may extend to 6 PM depending on job site locations. The pay is salary-based, ranging from $800 to $1,000 per week, and is commensurate with experience. After the completion of training, salary increases and additional monthly bonuses based on job performance and sales will be considered. Candidates will undergo on-the-job training to learn how to use specialized electronic and passive sonar equipment to detect water leaks. The role requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, as technicians will need to maintain workflow using computer technologies and provide written test results. The technician will also be trained to operate pool systems in various modes and will be expected to work collaboratively on larger commercial leak detection projects. The company adheres to CDC COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of its employees and clients. A valid Texas Driver's License is required, and a Texas Plumber's Apprentice License is a plus. Candidates must pass a mandatory background check to be considered for this position.
