About The Position

The position is responsible for maintaining the pool area in good condition by cleaning and performing repairs, ensuring it remains attractive and well-kept. This includes a variety of trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, air conditioning, drywall, painting, wall covering, tiling, masonry, and locks. The individual must possess considerable knowledge of these maintenance trades to visually inspect and detect items needing repair. Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical experience is frequently used on the job. The role requires experience in using basic hand and power tools and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling weights up to 80 lbs.

Requirements

• Basic experience in maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry.
• Knowledge of all maintenance trades.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of resort equipment.
• Skill in the use of related tools (including both hand and electric tools).
• English language communication and mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet.
• Ability to grasp, lift, or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally waist high.

Nice To Haves

• Graduation from trade school or equivalent education, training, or experience.
• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pool area, including all chairs, cabanas, floors, and back of the house areas to clean, repair, touch up or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall covering, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs.
• Maintain detailed record keeping in English for logs, inspection sheets, and using computers.
• Develop and provide written feedback on a quarterly schedule regarding responsibilities and essential functions.
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
• Report major deficiencies and items that cannot be readily repaired to the direct supervisor.
