Be a part of our Engineering team as a Waterpark Pool Engineer. Our employees are Experience Curators who are professional memory-makers, creating personalized guest experience from start to finish. The Waterpark Engineer is a customer facing position in the Engineering Department that focuses on the safety within and around the pools daily, routine maintenance of the waterpark, and upkeep of the waterpark and the equipment within. This individual will perform daily inspections, daily chem checks, preventive maintenance to all systems and make repairs as necessary to maintain the water park and waterpark equipment in immaculate condition. This individual must have a CPO license or industrial pool knowledge or the ability to achieve a CPO license within 90 days. There will be customer interaction so this person must have the communication skills to interact with customers and handle their needs and requests.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • CPO license preferred
  • Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
  • Computer proficiency to be able to use software designed for work orders and the preventive maintenance system.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the Assistant Director of Engineering and Waterpark Engineering Supervisor regarding all aspects of waterpark engineering operations.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to meet and exceed standards.
  • Establish and implement preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Inspect and document waterpark, equipment, hazards, systems, and general engineering operation.
  • Maintain work areas clean and organized.
  • Monitor and control, parts and labor expenditures.
  • Prioritize all work requests ensuring handling of guest problems, staff problems and inner waterpark challenges.
  • Promote employee empowerment.
  • Report and resolve all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Select, train, supervise, develop, discipline, and counsel employees according to Davidson policies and procedures.
  • Inspect the pools and features and maintain and make any necessary repairs
  • Daily chem checks to ensure operating within the proper parameters.
  • Make corrections immediately if necessary.
  • Maintain and repair all waterpark equipment. Conveyor, Wave Generator Equipment, Pumps & Motors, Filters, Chemical Feeder’s, and all other Waterpark Equipment.
  • Complete other duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain ongoing capital improvement file.
  • Perform in the capacity of any position supervised.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Conduct performance appraisals.
