About The Position

The Pool Deck Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment for members and their guests at the Stock Farm Club. This position oversees daily activity on the pool deck, monitors member and guest attendance, manages towel inventory, and ensures pool rules are followed, while providing attentive service and assistance to members and guests.

  • Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must possess valid driver's license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company's auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work variable schedule or irregular hours to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts based on needs of the Club operations and scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekday, weekend, early morning and evening/late evening hours as required.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions as needed and to walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to perform same-day travel on Stock Farm Property and within local geographic region.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes members and guests entering the pool area in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Builds positive relationships with members and guests, ensuring an enjoyable experience that reflects the standards of Stock Farm Club.
  • Monitors and tracks the number of members and guests utilizing the pool area.
  • Ensures all pool deck furniture and equipment (chaise lounges, chairs, tables, umbrellas, cushions, signage, etc.) are in good condition and properly arranged.
  • Ensures pool tubes, floats, and other recreational equipment are properly inflated and maintained for member and guest use.
  • Collects and properly stores all pool toys, tubes, and floats in designated storage bins at the end of each day.
  • Communicates maintenance concerns to the Fitness Centre Attendant and assists with submitting maintenance requests as needed.
  • Collects lost and found items and delivers them to the Concierge Desk by the end of each day.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments, including Poolside Grille, Laundry, Fitness Centre, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage teams.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the entire pool deck area at all times, including keeping pathways clear, organizing pool toys and floats, collecting used towels, clearing tables, and maintaining the family restroom area.
  • Assists with daily pool deck setup and breakdown, including opening and closing umbrellas, setting out towels and cushion covers, placing and collecting cushions, wiping down tables and chairs, and delivering used towels to the laundry area.
  • Supports the Poolside Grille team with operational needs as requested.
  • Removes used towels from chaise lounges and lawn chairs after guests depart and replaces them with clean towels as needed.
  • Maintains deck furniture in a clean, orderly, and presentable condition throughout the day.
  • Collects and disposes of trash throughout the pool area, particularly during peak afternoon and evening hours; transports full trash bags to the trash compactor located at the back loading dock behind the Clubhouse kitchen.
  • Conducts daily walkthroughs of the entire pool area each morning to collect trash, assess cleanliness, and power wash the pool deck as needed.
  • Maintains the surrounding lawn area by removing towels or items at the end of the day to allow sprinkler systems to properly irrigate the grass.
  • Cleans and maintains the ping pong table and ensures equipment availability, including racquets and balls obtained from the Fitness Centre.
  • Retrieves and properly stores basketballs and other recreational equipment left in the pool area.
  • Monitors towel inventory throughout the day to ensure adequate supply for members and guests.
  • Assists laundry attendants as needed with transporting, folding, or stocking towels.
  • Assists the Director of Member Services with Family Night event setup, preparation, and activities when scheduled.
  • Provides basic first aid for minor injuries and reports incidents or supply needs as appropriate.
  • Helps prevent accidents by monitoring pool patron activities and maintaining a safe pool environment.
  • Supervises pool patrons to help ensure safe conduct in and around the pool area.
  • Monitors and ensures safety precautions are being followed at all times.
  • Enforces all posted pool and spa rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for members and guests.
  • Assists with laundering, folding, and stocking pool and locker room towels as needed.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.
