About The Position

Seeking an enthusiastic and personable Pool Bartender to provide outstanding service to our poolside guests. The ideal candidate is attentive, proactive, and skilled in delivering a memorable guest experience in a fast-paced outdoor setting. Positions include bartender, server, attendant, barback and food runner Offer professional, friendly and engaging service Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way Maintain overall cleanliness of the pool deck and inventory of guest amenities Shifts include weekdays, weekends, and holidays Follow restaurant and pool deck policies, procedures and service standards Have full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, contents, and preparation methods Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages Adhere to payment and cash handling procedures May have to assist other outlets and other F&B departments as needed Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available through In Room Dining. Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
• Previous experience in food service industry an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Previous point of sale system experience an asset
• Food handler & TABC certifications required
• Certification in CPR an asset
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to multi task and work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
